Graduated!!!

Last weekend Jeff graduated from BYU with a degree in Exercise Science! I'm so proud of him! It was a big weekend with graduation, volleyball games, and EASTER, and luckily I was able to take Friday off and be there for all of the festivities....except that I ended up

 getting sick and spent Jeff's game throwing up at home instead :( boo.

I can't believe we are going to be done with BYU and Provo forever. 

We've both been here for 5 years! craziness. BYU has been an amazing experience.

 I truly love our school- even though it didn't always seem to love me back. I wouldn't trade our experiences here for anything. Jeff and I go on walks every evening and recently these 

walks are becoming more and more of a "remember when" convo- we currently live two blocks

 from campus and within a two mile radius of all of our previous apartments and places we used to 

hang out when we were dating- this sparks A LOT of memories. 

Sometimes....I really can't believe people let us get married.... really lol. 

We also pass by the apartment my parents first lived in 

when they got married  and were still going to BYU- I point it out to Jeff every time we pass it, 

which does. not. get. old. at. all. but I can't help myself- I just think it's so sweet!

 In about two months we'll be packing up and moving across the county to a city neither of us have ever really been to (airports don't count). The thought can be a little scary....but overall I think we just feel ready. College has been such a growing experience- but now that we're leaving our Provo life behind us, I actually feel pretty prepared for whatever comes next- and I'm excited! Yay to Jeff for graduating and becoming a college grad!!!!

In relief society on Sunday I decided to actually raise my hand during the "good news minute" to announce that Monday is the 18th! I usually never say anything, but I was too excited! And even though there was a little bit of an awkward silence until I explained that I work for an accounting firm- I'm freaking pumped! These last few months have been crazy. I've never worked so much in my life. I can't wait to wake up on Saturday......and not have to go to work! I've been averaging over 70 hours a week for a while now- it'll be so so so nice to go back to the usual 40. I'll be able go outside when it's still light out. Faaaaaaaantastic.

and Jeffyjoe has one more final and he is DONE with COLLEGE. yahoooooo. seriously. graduation is in a few days!!! how did i not realize this until the week of?

So even though we still have a few more weeks of volleyball left- it is beyond weird to think that it's almost over! Volleyball has been such a big part of our lives together that it's hard to imagine our lives without it. We've been married almost two years and I've gotten pretty used to chilling by myself on the weekends- next winter's going to be weird-we'll actually be able to go out on a weekend date lol
Jeff red-shirted his first year- so it's been five years total for him, he's going to miss this the most. Jeff and I started dating our Sophomore year, so this last season was my fourth season of going to every home game and following every away game online. Before I met Jeff I had never even been to a men's volleyball game before and I actually wasn't a big fan of the sport, but it has been so much fun watching Jeff and all the other guys play! It's been great watching the guys develop and get better and I get so happy when one of them does well.

Year 4: Married almost two years!

Volleyball has been such a great experience for Jeff. He's had to work very hard to balance a full load of school and practice/workouts. The last two seasons he took 17 credits! He's had to be very disciplined to fit everything in.
 Volleyball has also created some amazing friendships. I LOVE LOVE LOVE these girls. I miss them so much! We've watched a lot of game tracker and spent  A LOT of games dodging volleyballs together. I know they all graduated last year- but still-they're what I'm going to miss the most. This year    Mindy and Tara joined the wives club- they've been so nice to hang out with- next year Tara's prez.

In Italy. Last summer we were very lucky and got to travel to Italy with the team. It was one of the best experiences of my life- I loved Italy and loved that we got to go with some of our best friends. 

Congrats to #7 for five years of BYU volleyball!!! He's smoking hot huh?

Upgrade

Last week my poor lap top finally died. It's died a few times before but this time there was no chance of bringing it back to life. So sad. BUT this was also the kickstart I needed to finally get a new laptop. I was supposed to get a new one back in September, but never got around to it- but after spending one day without a computer,
 I pretty much rushed/ran/sprinted to the nearest Mac store and got me one of these:

Never had a mac before- but my last laptop had so many viruses and had so many melt downs that I just couldn't handle it anymore so I told my dad

 I was selling out and he told me he was jealous. 

My brother told me I had sold my soul....and I told him it was worth it.

Remember That Time.....

.....that my hair was black and all my clothes were black and jeff had a hitler mustache and was addicted to wearing his hi-lighter shirt????????? ugh. well for some reason i didn't until i came across this beauty of a pic taken on top of the new bridge that goes across hoover dam. and while i find this picture pretty hilarious, it was taken only a few months ago. i think i'll keep this picture posted as a little reminder to maybe not wear all black all the time with black hair- and also a reminder to try harder to persuade jeff from growing nasty mustaches around the holidays. that's all.

Stress Relief

so these past few weeks i've been working 70+ hours and until april 19th,

 it looks like my hours will just increase

- i'm seriously considering putting a little bed under my desk.

 to counter the stress i've been feeling i've been relying a lot on these three things:

light this baby up the moment i walk through the door at the end of the day

use this literally 10 times a day

 
 


i know this watch doesn't say "stress relief" anywhere like the other two things, but really, does it have to? i probably look down at my hands 100 times a day while i'm working and seeing something so pretty staring back at me is maybe the best stress relief ever. really. everyone should get a big gold watch- you'll feel like a sophisticated pirate.
