DayDreamer

P.S.

I've also turned one year older. 22.

woohoo.

Christmas!

This Christmas was a good one. Everyone came home! Chris was able to find a flight after his was cancelled due to a massive storm on the East Coast- Jordan and Julie were able to make it out as well. It was nice to have everyone home for at least a week. The best thing to come out of this week other than being able to spend time with the fam? My new phone. For the past 5 months my phone has been broken. The only thing I could do with it was text- but now I have a phone I can actually talk on!

Isn't it pretty?
It slides
I also got a new coat-it's cute

I also loved this :)

Still Here!

Sooooooooooo....Haven't exactly been in the postin' mood lately, But I am happy to report that Jeff and I got through Finals alive! We'll see how well we did in a few days, but until then I'm determined to be hopefull that my all A's and one B stayed in tact through all of the end of term papers and tests. Decemeber was a good month despite having crazy deadlines-

-I finished my tuturing at Dixon Middle School

- Finished my LAST Fall semester at BYU

-Met up with the other Volleyball Couples for Christmas fun

-Started the process to volunteer at a battered women's shelter

-Went to Boise for Christmas!

While I don't have documentation of most of these things, I do have pictures of our trip to Boise which was cut short due to Jeff having to be back in Provo for volleyball practice. :(

Boise!

Erin and I were in a Bakin' Mood- Jeff was in an eatin' mood
This proved to be a little difficult for me :(

But in the end they turned out alright
and they were delicious- chocolate caramel cookies with white chocolate drizzle!

Then we moved onto peanut butter chocolate balls

And then the snowflakes cookie balls

We were very proud of ourselves :)

Then we made gingerbread houses....I was a little more into it

Countdown to Thanksgiving!

I'm very excited for Thanksgiving break- almost as excited as Jeff- I can't wait to relax, not worry about school and spend time watching volleyball, eating, shopping, and watching football. Because of Jeff's volleyball tournament, we'll be going down early so this is my last FULL week of school before we leave! I CANNOT WAIT- I also have a lot to get done before we leave...shoot. Pretty sure I have three papers and two tests to fit in during the next week and a half :( oh well- it will soon be over and then it will be worth it to relax in Vegassssssss!

Da Weatha

Haha, okay so I just found this picture online and I thought it was funny. Today it's snowing, and when I saw flakes swarming down from the sky I'm pretty sure my face looked like this lady and a "oh crap" was running through my mind. Snow is pretty and fun to look at, but it is not however, fun to drive in or walk to school in. Snow season in Utah seems to last for multiple seasons and that is not my favorite at all- hence why I sometimes look like this lady from October-March (April pending a freak snow storm)

Family Update!

A few weeks ago my fam came down to visit Jeff and me and to go to a football game. I love it when the family visits and a lot of fun was had, except that we just didn't take a lot of pictures to document it- but this is what we did get.

Before heading to the game

mi and mi mama

Stadium- our seats were kind of high up

Mom's Funny

My mom's hilarious- really. She has the best sense of humor. Case in point- this email she sent me today which had me laughin' out loud. My brother's are also pretty funny too.

Good to hear from you! I really do know when Grandpa's birthday is, but when I sent that email to Jordan and Chris and you, I thought it might take a few days for them to respond so I made it sound like it was earlier than it was, hoping they'd get around to it in the next few days.....I should have known that you would not procrastinate. Still, Grandpa was very glad you called.

Congratulations on your test and your paper! I am so proud of you. Good luck with your safety preparedness thing....sounds fascinating. Not. Did you like the jokes I sent?? Whenever they make a movie out of a classic children's book, I am always afraid they'll ruin it, but I have heard good things about Where The Wild Things Are. Also Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs has gotten great reviews, but I havent' seen it.

Yesterday I had to do the kind of thing I most dislike in the world --being out in front of people and having attention on me -- TWICE in one day. For Timberline's Homecoming, once again I had to escort Cameron out on the field at halftime for Homecoming Court. And during the Homecoming Assembly at school in the afternoon, they did this game where they called five boys out of the audience, blindfolded them, and had the cheerleaders kiss each one on the cheek, and the boys had to guess which cheerleader it was. So Matthew was one of the five boys they brought down, but it was really their MOMS who kissed them. And when they asked Matthew (still blindfolded) which cheerleader he thought it was, he said "It was definitely a senior!" and when they asked why, he said "Because it was GOOD!" Everyone was going crazy laughing over that one. Yeah, it was definitely a senior.....very very senior.....senior citizen in fact. You can see why I was glad when the day was OVER. Cameron is taking Kanisha to the dance tonight. Matthew is not 16 yet so he is not allowed to go. (I think high school was easier with nerdy boys like Jordan and Chris.) Last week Chris invited an apartment of girls over and cooked dinner for them. So he is trying. He dissected his cadaver's heart yesterday.

I printed and framed lots of wedding pictures of you. Now pictures of you are all over the house, in every room. As it should be.

Love Mom

I love my Mom- she's so crafty

Documentation

Okay, so now that we've lived in our little apartment for a little over three months I thought it was time to document this. Our little home is interesting, it's really old, has no AC and the heat is almost non-existent. There's zero counter space, and the cable outlets don't work. If you had told me freshman year that by my Seniot year I would be living in a place with no cable, internet, or washer and dryer- I wouldn't have believed you- but here's proof.

Our home

The first thing you see when you walk in the door: Our kitchen

My lovely pink kitchenaid

And then our lovely green refridgerator

our bed which is really comfy :)

and our lil' closet

Our living room/dining room/study

Our bookshelf that has to be in that corner because it has a lean and would fall over otherwise...

Always thought that old fashioned baths with feet were cute- and they are to look at....but not the best to shower in....pretty much hate showering in that thing surrounded by plastic.

Our little bathroom sink-

And there you have it! The ultimate first apartment for a newlywed couple that got married at 21 and 23 :)

Wanna Be Happy?

Then watch this.

Birthday!

Yesterday was my Grandpa Petts 79th Birthday! and 79 seems much older than how I think of him. My Grandpa Pett is the sweetest man you'll ever meet. He's gentle and a little reserved, but he's someone who makes you feel comfortable by just sitting next to him. He's also extrememly generous. Every year since I was 8 he's sent me a check for $200 for my savings. He also has payed for all of my textbooks since I started college. My Grandpa is also responsable for bringing us all to Lake Tahoe every other summer for an amazing family reunion, complete with jet skis, jacuzzis, and tons of condos :) I love my Grandpa!!!
