San Francisco

This day was one of my favorite days...ever. We started the morning by taking BART into SF and heading out on a cable car to Lombard St.

My mom and I sat the whole time, but Jeff was brave and stood on the outside of the car and just held on. I should also clarify that I had left my camera at home (again) and am just using my phone for pics-sorry!

That little blue house with the purple flowers was my favorite.

This was just at the bottom of the street- they were so pretty! After walking down Lombard, we headed towards the wharfs.

It was such a pretty day in the city! With SF, you never really know if it's going to be a clear day, so I feel like we lucked out!

We did go down into the old fashioned arcade- it actually was a lot of fun! Jeff and I found a really fun shooting game killing aliens- we weren't that bad!

After walking around the wharfs and visiting Pier 39, we ate lunch (fresh clam chowder in sour dough bread bowls :) ), and headed over to chinatown.

Chinatown was a total hit- it had been a few years since I had last been through here and I still thought it was a lot of fun. We bought a ton of fresh fortune cookies- they are actually really tasty fresh :)
Right about now was when it got freezing- so we hopped back on BART and made our way back to Grandma and Grandpa's house. So happy I could spend this day with Jeff and my mom!

Back in the Bay

After Tahoe, Jeff, my mom, and I decided to go visit my grandparents in Concord, CA. I love my grandparents house a lot. Like, a huge ginormous amount, and it always felt weird to me that Jeff had never visited them at their home. Growing up, we would spend weeks in Concord every Summer and we'd usually come down for either Christmas break or Thanksgiving.
The week we spent with them this time was fantastic!
They seriously outdid themselves...
I'm talking waking up to home made breakfasts every morning
trips into San Francisco
staying up late with Grandma watching trashy TLC reality shows
(there might have been a My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding marathon.....)
going to one of the best Chinese restaurants I've ever been to
going through all of my grandma's old cookbooks! (I read through them like regular books- I love them)
getting to try out any recipe that catches my eye
picking yummy oranges and pears from their backyard
getting to raid my grandma's beauty dresser(s)
and, as you can see below- going to an A's baseball game!

Originally we were going to go to a Giant's games, but they happened to be out of town so we went to an Athletics vs. Orlando game instead.

We had so much fun! I was actually surprised at how much I enjoyed the game. I initially went into this thinking, this would only be a fun thing for Jeff, but I ended up getting really into it! Shocker.

Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for the sweet tickets
- and money for parking($17!) and dinner-
they gave us a great date night just for the two of us :)

Baby Ev

I was so so so happy when Erin decided to come to the lake and bring her brand new baby with her. Everly was only 3 weeks old!

Adorable.

 Adorable x2

Believe it or not, I'm NOT a baby person. I generally don't like holding other people's babies- however, Everly is entirely different. I just loved to hold her! I even told my little cousin no when she asked to have a turn holding her while it was still "my turn" haha- but I had just gotten her and I wasn't about to give her up so soon!

annnnnd I think she's done with all the pictures! lol She really was a good sport though, and in her defense, we did play dress-up with her for a while.

Everybody Loves A Sunset!

Our place at Lake Tahoe is up on the ridge and overlooks the lake,
which makes for some awesome sunsets!

Haha, my husband looks like a giant

Even Grandpa came to check out the view

We were so glad Jordan came out all the way from New Jersey!

Haha Jordan.....I told him to strike a "cool" pose and this is what I got :)

Lake Tahoe Continued....

Alright....so the second half of the week was filled with hiking, wallyball, family games,
more tennis, and more laying out. I'm going to start with the games because of this little picture below....

This picture was too good not to showcase, which is why it is #1. So weird. We were playing minute to win it games and my mom and Jordan made quite the team! haha

 oh hey

down at the lake Jeff kind of wandered off so I went looking for him when it was time to go...any guesses as to where I found him? He was down at the volleyball courts. typical.

These are my two little cousins Kate and Ellie- they loved having Jeff to play around with

Jeff was so good to them!

 Crystal Cove

cutie

 my dad

We hiked down into Crystal Cove and then up a ways to this pretty water fall

And after the hike my dad took us all out for ice cream :) I didn't bring my real camera again so all of these picture came from my phone- i'm trying not to be such a dork and actually use my real camera, but it's not working out. For now these will have to do! We did miss Cameron on this trip, as he's in Florida on his mish, and we also missed Chris who is in his 3rd year rotations right now for med school. We also missed Julie, who had to work, but we were glad Jordan could come and experience the Tahoe!

Lake Tahoe

Where to even start? I feel like I haven't been online in forever! However, I do have
many many pictures from the last few weeks to help catch me up on our summer.
First, we went to one of our favorite places- Lake Tahoe.
Jeff and I just LOVE Lake Tahoe. A huge thanks needs to go out to my  Grandpa and Grandma for
making this all happen! They always book everyone their own condos and Jeff and I love pretending we actually live in our own fancy shmancy condo with it's nice kitchen, master suite
and giant whirlpool tub (my personal fav).

Day 1 = Tennis Time!

First up was Jeff and me against my Dad and Jordan-
Jeff and I won, of course (but only because of Jeff, Jeff wins everything).

We also checked out some of the scenery....

On this trip Jeff got to spend some time with my oldest brother, Jordan, which was great because Jordan  isn't able to come home very much. Jordan's a super smarty pants, he's currently working on his doctorate at Princeton studying philosophy.

Cuties. We all spent a lot of time laying out- it was heaven.

and here's the star of the week! Miss Everly.

She's the first of the great-grandbabies and was loved by everyone! Here she is with my mom.

Since Erin (Ev's mom) was more like a sister to me than a cousin, I kind of feel like Everly's aunt and I just love her! I also got her that cute romper she's sportin'

Little brother Matt taking his turn...

I literally had to twist Jordan's arm to get him to hold a baby, but once I got her in his arms they were just adorable together :)

Well- this post is long enough! I'll try to update more of our going ons later for my own family records :)
