P.S.

I hate my brown hair. Three people last night didn't recognize me and they blamed my hair. Also- it makes me feel ugly. Sorry brunettes but I'm going back to blonde- I'm not strong enough to be one of you.....

 The good ol' blonde days.........
p.s. isn't my old roommate a fox? just saying that cause it's true....and i also know
she sometimes reads my blog :)

Fantastic

Guess what? I get to be married on the weekends again. It's fantastic. For the last three weeks Jeff has been out of town from Thurday to Sunday for his away volleyball games. This weekend he is HOME. Last night I got to actually watch him play volleyball instead of following the delayed updates on gametracker- again, it was fantastic. After the game we were both so tired we went straight into bed and watched Iron Man-together! Which is so much better than my last three Friday nights of renting every single extremely random movie out of Redbox and watching them by myself all night long.
Of course there are some adjustments I have to make- like not drinking diet coke for breakfast like I tend to do when the hubs is out of town.....he didn't appreciate that- but that's okay cause I would much rather have him home!

ha! this is his cute new picture for the 2011 season

Three years ago I was a Huge Jerk

Exactly three years ago today I met my husband at a late night party in Provo. I was a huge jerk to him and somehow that got him interested. I was out with my roommates and we always said that these parties were just for fun and that we would never actually seriously date a guy we met there-haha, well
my bad cause I actually married one lol.
Jeff started talking to me as I was waiting outside the doors for a roommate.
Our first conversation went something like this:

Jeff: Hey! You look super familar!
Me: No I don't
Jeff Yeah! I think we're friends on facebook
Me: I'm only friends with people I know on facebook- and I don't know you. (I'm super charming huh?)
Jeff: Oh...that's cool. You look cold-want to wear my jacket?
Me: Uhh no.....I'm really hungry- I think I'm gonna go.....(and I walk away in search of food)

And that's seriously our first conversation. It was totally love at first sight! lol gahh...I was a huge jerk- but after that night somehow me met up again and had a first date. After our second date I pretty much slammed the door in his face because of something he said....and then our third date was our first kiss. So basically it was all smooth sailing....ha, not. We were together, we broke up, we got back together and so on-
but that's all another story that's way too long to get into.

Here's our first pic together-blurry cause I took it on the ghetto phone I had back then-
taken three years ago today....

love him <3 and love the last three years <3

Called to Serve

This is my little brother Cameron. He just came down to BYU this winter semester and this week he got his mission call! Jeff was in California for volleyball so he wasn't there,
but I came over to Cam's apartment to watch him open it.
 I was so excited!

He was excited too

He's called to serve in the Tampa, FL mission, leaving for the MTC in the begining of June!
I'm so proud of him :) He'll be an amazing missionary.

Cam's mission covers the South West part of the state as seen in the map above.
The people of Florida are lucky!

A New Year

This New Year's was pretty good- quiet, but good. Jeff and I were back in Provo for work and volleyball and my dad and little brother came into town.

Jeff and Cam cam

Me and my dad

My dad was awesome and I LOVED having him visit. My dad really knows how to have a good time. I would gladly spend all of my future New Year's Eves with him.

Happy Birthday to Me

If you know me, then you know I have somewhat addictive tendencies...
as in if I like something I will never. get. sick. of. it-
pb&j for all my meals for three weeks straight? okay.
same awesome song on repeat 24/7 for two months? sweet. (this drives Jeff crazy)
I have this candle called Christmas Eve and I've burned it every other day for the last year- and on the off days I just hold it close and smell until Jeff gives me a weird look- it smells that good.

It's a pretty good thing I've never tried alcohol

anyways....right now I have two new obsessions:
Hi-Chews & Jesse McCartney

+

= a good time. seriously.
Weird and somewhat embarrassing, but it is what it is.
(And you should all run to your 7-11s and grab yourselves some Hi-Chews, they're delicious- and I can only find them at 7-11s, so you know they're classy)

However, I am in fact NOT a twelve-year old girl as my recent interests would indicate.
I am in fact legitimately in my twenties.
.23.
Seems so much older than 22....but really. I'm a college grad and in my almost mid twenties......I should probably have some kids or something.

I was in Vegas this year for my birthday and I was a little sad to be away from my mom for my birthday- my mom's fantastic and she goes all out for birthdays with all of her bday decorations, candy posters, breakfasts in bed, and giving you the same number of presents as how old you're turning, etc.
Needless to say, she really set the bar high and I am really excited to celebrate my future kiddos birthdays with the same over-the-top celebrations.
This year Jeff knew I wanted a lemon cake, so he made his own version- which turned out to be three layers and heart shaped. It was adorable and very very sweet of him.

Some birthdays I get dressed up or at least wear make-up cause I know there will be pictures, but I wasn't really feeling it this year...woops. haha I'll let this pic be a reminder to put a little more effort into how I look for next year- like, maybe I should at least brush my hair, I dunno.

mmm it really was pretty tasty.

And Jeff definitely made me feel like the special birthday girl- he even got me a cardigan I wanted! lol which is saying something since he hates them- but he knows I love 'em and now it's the only cardigan
I have that I can wear without him telling me a look like a librarian lol
he also got me a purse/a jaguar ring/gold shoes and a necklace- (I might've picked them all out previously, but that's really the only way to go)

So yeah- now that I'm 23 I'll get on trying to do something a little more grown-up than eating 7-11 candy while listening to teeny bop music...but not today. Today, since Jeff's in Santa Barbara and I'm in Provo- I'm eating Hi-Chews and listening to Jesse McCartney while painting my nails.

Christmas Vacation

This Christmas we went down to Las Vegas to spend time and celebrate with Jeff's family. The weather was pretty fantastic the whole time we were there, so we spent a lot of our time golfing and they even took me out shooting REAL GUNS, haha which I have never done before. I have to say though, I was pretty good with the assault rifle and I had a really fun time! Jeff's mom made some great food and we stayed up late every night and slept in every morning.
 It was fantastic.

The day after Christmas we drove out to Hoover Damn to walk across the new bridge

This is our view from the bridge-
In case you were wondering Jeff totally dresses himself- and yes, that's a leather jacket with his navy track pants from high school. sweet. Also, I have apparently started wearing all black- a lot.
Jeff now calls me his little goth wife but I don't mean to be- it just happens

Some brotherly love
Followed by some Xbox

Just outside Fashion Show Mall- a really fantastic mall btw-
we were going to go to The Lion King, but we had a change of plans
and did some serious shopping instead. We'll have to make it to The Lion King next time.

And oh my goodness I'm shooting a gun

When I told my parents I had gone shooting and golfing- they just laughed
and said "oh dear," lol we were never that into golfing or guns as a family so
they thought me trying to do either was pretty funny, but I had a fabulous time shooting and was grateful that Will was so patient teaching me and for letting me shoot his guns-

Jeff has a really good shot and apparently wants to own his own guns in the future-I never knew this and it's such a weird thought to me! haha....yeah we'll see....but probably not......but I guess we're supposed to make our decisions together....but still probably not.....but I guess we'll see and for now
I'll just be grateful that we're too poor to buy any :)
Anyways....
Jeff and I are are grateful to his family for having us stay with them. We wish we could've stayed longer!
