We're Here!

We made it to Boise! Our first day back was a blast. We met up with my dad at his office before going out for lunch.

my dad's showing them pictures of when he was in quarantine a few weeks ago when some crazy sent "anthrax" to his office with a mean note. It turned out to be like crushed aspirin.

My dad showing off his bookcase of all the stupid scams people try to get away with.

My dad's office still has pictures of when we were all little and cute

Matty boy- he's not little anymore

Moons! After checking out my dad's office- we walked a few blocks to Moons. Moons is a fun little restaurant I'd go to with my dad growing up- it has the BEST milkshakes

Jeff enjoyed it- and the milkshake :)

Walking around downtown Boise was so fun! It was all festive and decorated for Christmas- also a good part of lunch was when I noticed that Anthropology (located next door) was having a beyond amazing sale- let's just say Jeff and Matt got my birthday taken care of :)

and- are we getting photo bombed by a guy that's like a block behind us??? haha.

check that off the list...

hello.
my name is kiley robinson.
officially.

i finally dragged myself down to the dmv to get our car registered and i thought, hey- since i'm here- how bout i finally start the process of changing my last name. ha. two weeks later my license came in the mail- don't look too close though, i kind of look like buzz's girlfriend- woof. not sure why i put it off for two and a half years but hey, i'm almost officially a robinson now and it feels good.

also- did you notice the owl looking over my shoulder?

i came in possession of this guy a few weeks ago when i was out looking for a trash can, yeah- that makes sense. i'm not one of those people who have a thing for owls, but, i have a thing for this one. i thought it was so cute- so now it sits on my counter/dresser/table- or wherever i feel, and every time i see it i smile. however, i still need a trash can- i'm working on it.

happy early birthday...to me!

as an early birthday present for me- jeff got me these bowls. i love them. i love them so much i don't let us use them. lol. i just think they're adorable to the max.

and i think i might be on a bowl kick- cause i've been eyeing these. i think i'll make these the second half of my bday present. it's cool to only want bowls for your birthday- right?... right??

jeff and i never got our complete set of dishes/place settings when we got married so everything is very mismatched- which is why these bowls would fit in perfectly!
not matching is definitely the cool way to go.

Feels like Christmas

It feels like Christmas time and I'm loving it. Despite our two year ban on decorating for the holidays, this year we (I) caved and decided to get festive. Decorating takes a lot of work! I only just got everything up with only one week left to enjoy it in our apartment before we left for Idaho.
I even got my craft on- it's serious people. I think I'd rather buy stuff than make it (don't judge me craft crazies)- bc my end product always ends up like this pic below (I saw this on pinterest and it still makes me laugh so hard)

ha, yeah- and this can be kind of depressing. However, when you're poor students and strapped for cash sometimes dyi is the only option- hence my stick art. lol. I found this "craft" on pinterest and it is as easy as it sounds, which is why I put craft in quotes- it seems like it was toooo easy to be considered a craft. You basically just grab some sticks and glitter and make it look like a Christmas tree- as can be seen below. I think Jeff thought I was crazy- but he had the good sense to tell me my tree was b-e-a-utiful. I also made a glitter sign- I love me some glitter! It is now everywhere in my apartment! There were a few times I'd look over at Jeff studying on the couch and he'd have glitter stuck to his cheek or in his hair...I didn't tell him though, didn't want him to break concentration- AND btw, he totally rocked his finals- like, he literally dominated. I know I'm bragging about him, but he worked his cute little butt off and I'm oh so proud. Anyways,  we are now packed and out of our festive apartment, I had my last day at work, and we're chilling in Wylie with Ann's family for the weekend. Monday we fly out and spend the next THREE weeks in Idaho- so excited.

oh yeah- my birthday is in like 7 days. man, i'm getting old.

Finals Week

ONE.

MORE.

WEEK.

Next week is Jeff's last week of his first semester at school, which means it's finals week.
He gets home from school around 8 or 9, and then continues to study on our living room floor for another few hours- I have no doubt that Jeff is going to dominate.
When I asked Jeff what he wanted to do over Christmas break- he just said he wanted to order a giant cheese pizza while watching Home Alone- and he was dead serious. Well babe, all you have to do is get through this next week and that'll be the first thing we do in Boise
-I'll even let you set up a statue in front of our house that the delivery guy can run over.

Life Through My Phone

 As of late....

we squeezed a date night in...

Jeff has stopped shaving...

I made a pumpkin pie and didn't screw up the crust...

I found my long lost cheetah print headband...and have been wearing it everyday since....
we've been eating the most ginormous apples for lunch everyday...

I introduced Jeff to pie crust cookies...they're freaking delicious....

I got pretty excited about how long my hair's getting...
*note to self- keep taking pictures of yourself on your phone no matter how long your husband laughs when he discovers one. It's totally cool and completely age appropriate*

I've really been trying to get my craft on...

I made my first roast....

I got my hair did....
*side note- I love this lace shirt, but every time I wear it, Jeff makes spiderman jokes because he thinks it looks like a web, so now I can't wear it without singing that dumb spiderman song... need to stop this association, like, now- lace is pretty- end of story.*

Jeff and I finally caved and decided to decorate for Christmas!

annnnnnd now, after the world's longest post, I can say that we are counting down the days until Christmas in Idaho. We fly out December 19th and we could not be more excited!

Tay

Can I just say I love little girls and hope that I can have like, a hundred of them myself one day? Or is that weird? Oh well, either way, I have so much fun hanging out with Miss Tay. She's such a little diva. Jeff just loves her and says all the time he hopes one day we'll have a little girl just like her-all  full of sass :)  If we do have a little girl one day and she's anything like me, I really don't think we'll have to worry about that! It's probably more of a "be careful what you wish for" type of deal for us.

Taylor was helping me get ready on Thanksgiving morning

She grabbed my eye-lash curler and was all excited, "I know what this is! my mom does this allllll the time!"- and then she kept pinching her nose with it. I about died. So funny.

Taylor is notorious for dodging pictures. The moment she sees a camera focused on her she dives under tables and chairs or just covers her face with her hands- so I love this cute one above- of her looking and smiling. Perfect.

I just love being an aunt.
