iPhone Update

And the never ending game of catch-up continues....
Here are some of the pics from my phone I don't want to lose.
I probably took most of these around June :)

Favorite food- definitely spaghetti.
Eats it by the fistful.

She let me paint her toenails.
We matched.
I loved it.

What the third hour of church looks like. She's actually not crying- she's rolling around and quietly moaning- Me and the other parents out in the halls couldn't stop laughing.
She was D-O-N-E with church that day.

Primetime seat for the playoffs

My cheeser

Gosh, she's a cutie.
And she's finally starting to hold her head up in the water! ha, before, we'd put her in and her whole body just went limp in the water- she didn't want to do any work in there at all. Made the floatie thing pointless bc she wouldn't even hold her head up. Funny girl. Now she holds her head up and can float and kick around- Jeff gets the credit for getting her to do that though- I just didn't have the heart to let her go under at all, but after a couple dunks with Jeff she learned pretty quick the importance of keeping that head up :)

RIP white water bottle.
On our walk the other day I let her hold my water bottle in her stroller- right when we were passing one of those huge storm drains, she chucks it out of the stroller and right down the drain. There wasn't a grate on the drain or anything.
That drain has now claimed her big red bouncy ball and my water bottle.
 blast.

Chubby bunny.
I gave her a bowl of bunny crackers and she shoved every single one in her mouth at the same time.
Benefits of having big cheeks I guess :)

This was too funny- and don't worry, I got her out right after I snapped a quick pic. She was walking backwards and fell right into this box, bum first. She was so cute and squished and stuck.

Splash Pad

About a month ago Jeff had an afternoon off so we took him with us to the splash pad. Coppell has a cute little one that's the perfect size for Avie.

Despite how she looks, she really did have a fun time :)

Our little town center

Again, despite her face- she was having the time of her life I tell ya!

nothing better than a baby beach bum

With this one, it's splash pads > swimming pools right now.
Hopefully next summer she'll like being in the pool a little more :)

4th of July

This year I was determined to find something festive to do for the 4th
(babies have a way of making me care about holidays)
We spent the day at the park looking patriotic

I got a little camera happy, but I just love these pics of her.
That evening we went out to the Coppell city 4th of July celebration at Andrew Brown Park.

Jeff came up with his own outfit and was very proud of it :)

There was this train that went around all the baseball fields. I think Ava was a little apprehensive about it- but they sure looked cute together going around!

We found a giant American flag to take a picture in front of.
USA! USA! USA!
ha, it really was a nice celebration though-
Coppell did a great job putting everything on

And then it was time to wait for the fireworks! They shot the fireworks over the water and we all just laid out on the grass while they played patriotic music. It was such a fun summer night!

Not So Recent Outings

Alright, so I really just haven't felt like blogging lately, but things are backing up and the stress from having things not documented is motivating me to get these posts out there.
Seriously, these two outings happened forever ago. Now a days we never really go anywhere due to Jeff's internship out in Mesquite- internship requires the car, which leave me and the babe stranded :/ I'm not loving this part of our time in Texas when it's a bajillion degrees out and no car to go anywhere so me and Ava are basically just staring at each other all day every day in this apartment of ours. Fingers crossed we can make it through a few more months of this. Anyways....

This is from when we went to the little aquarium- It's the perfect size for a toddler like Ava.

^she came up with this pose all by herself and held it for like ten minutes. werk. ^

The part where you could touch the sea creatures was a little bit of a disaster and alternated between Ava splashing water out everywhere and then trying to just straight up drink it.

This was from the day we went out to a bouncy trampoline place for a friend's birthday.
Ava actually loved it and did pretty well running around.

About halfway through she got tired.
To be fair, jumping is hard work.

Wouldn't touch the cupcake, but loved the cookie :)

 The end.
