Tay

Can I just say I love little girls and hope that I can have like, a hundred of them myself one day? Or is that weird? Oh well, either way, I have so much fun hanging out with Miss Tay. She's such a little diva. Jeff just loves her and says all the time he hopes one day we'll have a little girl just like her-all  full of sass :)  If we do have a little girl one day and she's anything like me, I really don't think we'll have to worry about that! It's probably more of a "be careful what you wish for" type of deal for us.

Taylor was helping me get ready on Thanksgiving morning

She grabbed my eye-lash curler and was all excited, "I know what this is! my mom does this allllll the time!"- and then she kept pinching her nose with it. I about died. So funny.

Taylor is notorious for dodging pictures. The moment she sees a camera focused on her she dives under tables and chairs or just covers her face with her hands- so I love this cute one above- of her looking and smiling. Perfect.

I just love being an aunt.

Thanksgiving With The Cooks

Yes, yes, I know- I've been slacking on updating the blog. I've been so busy with work that, well, I haven't really had time to do anything else. However, we did have a great Thanksgiving this year and I really have to recap our great day.
After I got off work Wednesday night, Jeff and I drove out to Wylie to spend the night at the Cook's so we could get up early and do the Thanksgiving 5K in nearby Sachse.

This was pre-race, notice Logan's excited face
This is after the race. Ha, Logan cracks me up. But it was actually really cold! It was early in the morning and super humid- but it was a cold type of humid which is no fun.

Again, this was early, so excuse my just-rolled-out-of-bed-look.
Logan was awesome and as soon as the race started he just took off! Ann, Jeff and I were jogging together and Logan just sprints away lol Jeff caught up to him after about a mile, but Logan was such a great runner!  Ann was too- she beat us all.
the guys
Later that day we went out for Thanksgiving dinner. Eating at a restaurant for Thanksgiving was a first for me- and I loved it. We went to Maggiano's at Northpark and the food was unreal. So good! They had a special Thanksgiving menu going on and the desserts were to die for. We all left super stuffed and super content. We spent the rest of the day relaxing and watching tons of football- and I got to talk to my family who had gone to AZ for the holiday. It was perfect. I did have to leave that night to get back for work :( but Jeff was able to stay the rest of the weekend and get some quality time in with his niece and nephew...and their xbox ;)
the girls- minus miss taylor (she's hiding under the table)

It was a great Thanksgiving and we had so much fun spending it with the Cooks.

go me

So I know I kind of fell off the face of the earth last month. I started working long hours and
then I got a nasty cold/flu that wouldn't go away and well, my life's not super exciting so
all of that resulted in zero blog posts. Fail. Oh well- this picture was the ONLY thing I found
on my phone from the month of October. The only record of my life is a creepy pumpkin
pic, bahaha. Oh well, it's from visiting the Cook's in Wylie- Taylor was being so cute and
singing that Halloween pumpkin song and having us hold up the signs :)

I am kind of mad I didn't take any pictures on Halloween though because this was actually
one of my favorite Halloweens yet. Jeff and I went to a rockin chili cook-off at our church,
and then we went and had a really fun time at a party with some friends. It's been a while since
Jeff and I have been out late together and when we were driving home late it felt weird- but oh so good. Sometimes it's nice to let loose! Oh that reminds me- Jeff took me to see Footloose a few weeks ago and I LOVED it, such a fun movie :)

Gold Medal Baby!

Last weekend Jeff went to Florida for the chiro games. Since going to Parker, Jeff's played on two volleyball teams- his trimester's intramural team and his school's sand volleyball team that plays against all of the other chiro schools. This last week was the big tournament they have once a year in Florida where all of the chiro schools get together and compete in sports.
Jeff's team took 1st  and he got a gold medal :)

He was his team's mvp :)

He wore his gold medal all day to school the day he got back lol

He made me take a lot of pictures of his tough serious face before I could get one with him smiling

Yay Jeff! Such a champion.

Happy Birthday

Today is my parent's birthdays.
Yup! My parents have the same birthday!
My parents are honestly the two best people I know. They are kind, funny, smart, humble, unselfish, patient, spiritual...the list could really go on and on, but that would take way too long.
As I've grown up I can honestly say that I have always been so grateful that I have them as my parents. They are so much fun to hang out with! This last summer Jeff and I had a blast just hanging out and going out with them. My parents are great examples of what it means to be a follower of Christ. They are so open and nonjudgemental- they will love you no matter what- and for that I am so grateful that they are my parents! No matter what they go through, they always stay true to who they are and to what they believe- I definitely aspire to be like them.

Aren't they darling?
Happy birthday mom and dad! Love you both :)

Conference Weekend

Hope everyone's having a great weekend!

We spent our break between the morning and afternoon sessions of conference laying out by the pool.

and because it was "resident appreciation day" our complex had a bbq :)

I absolutely loved hearing that the Provo Tabernacle will be made into a temple!!! That will be so great for Provo and it will no doubt be gorgeous.
I love conference weekend- and you can watch tomorrow's sessions right here:

Well, Jeff just got back from the priesthood session and we're off
to have game night with another couple in our ward.
 Have a good weekend ya'll!
