Alright, so Jeff and I have been pretty busy lately with school and work, but we did manage to celebrate Valentine's Day.
* yeah....so like I mention below....Jeff and I were in baggy sweat pants for our little v-day "date" hence the no pictures of us on the actual day- instead I like these ones from when we were engaged*
We both left for the day at 7:00 in the morning vowing to try as hard as we could to make it home by 7 that night so we could have dinner together (we usually aren't home to eat dinner at the same time)
and watch...wait for it....The Bachelor.
The Bachelor has kind of become our favorite show/guilty pleasure. Anyways, by 6:30 I was still at the office and Jeff was still at campus so I was kind of thinking that even the little plans that we did make weren't going to work out, but somehow things did and I was running through our front door at 659 with takeout from two different places (we never agree on where to get food) and Jeff was running through the door with flowers, chocolates, candy, and sweet love notes :)
We changed into sweats, jumped into bed and, using two trays Mary and I stole from the Cougar Eat a few years ago, ate out delicious take-out and watched that crazy girl Michelle get SENT HOME. I loved my Valentine so much this year that I ordered him TWO drinks- a nasty horchata and a dp to wash it all down.
And even though most days I only get to see him for a few minutes and some days not at all, I love every moment of being married to him - and, if there's one thing I can say about Jeff as a husband, it's that he always, always, always, lets me know how much he loves me and makes me feel very loved.
Happy late Valentine's Day everyone!!!
P.S.
I've always thought that my dad is the coolest dad there is and here's some more proof: at 9am at my office I had some beautiful flowers delivered right to my desk from him- ever since I left home he's always sent me my own special flowers, even my first year in the dorms he had them delivered- and, since that year I was literally the only girl in my hall that didn't have a date that day, it made me feel so loved! I'm a very lucky girl to have him as a dad.
