All About the L-O-V-E

Truth: Valentine's Day is the only holiday that I like when stores break out the decorations early

Truth: I love glitter and chocolate and flowers

Truth: V-day just might be my favorite holiday

proof

proof:
that my husband isn't the only funny one in this little fam

you can't really see it- but you kind of can on the right-
there are literally tears streaming down both sides of his face.
yup, that's just how funny i am.
yeah i know that was a brag, but i'm a little proud of myself-
you see, i'm married to THE jeffrey joseph robinson. and if you know jrob you know that he's one of the funniest people you will ever meet in your life. usually i'm the one doing the crying laugh- but last night i was on a roll- and those tears didn't stop me from keeping on one bit- however the whipping out my iphone to take a pic did kind of kill the laughing a bit.

Last Night Date Night

Our last night in Boise was like a date night with my family- and it was perfect.

We started the night with dinner at Cafe Rio (they let me choose)
After dinner we hit up BSU for some bowling.

 Jeff won every game

I was last in the first game, but Matt was last in the second- it's a good thing we have other things going for us since bowling is NOT our calling.

 my momma

After bowling we all went out for frozen yogurt.
It was a great night relaxing with the family and one that makes me wish I was back in Boise!

Pics From My Phone

phone pics,
they're not very exciting... but I gotta do something with em'

from one of our walks

in the underground tunnel beneath the capitol

haha, on our walk with matt he jumped up on the bridge like a ninja! jeff tried really hard....

but realized he's not 17 anymore.....

if we don't watch out, matt's going to turn into "bridge people"
those are the people my older brothers told me when i was little that lived under bridge...and ate kids.
even now i absolutly hate walking under a bridge. it just feels like i'm taking a big risk.
lol

meeting up with my dad for another lunch date

and that's all.
since we have been back in texas it has rained nonstop and last night jeff and i were woken up by some crazy thunder and lightning.
welcome back to us i guess.
to combat the cold wetness. i made tomatoe basil soup and grilled cheese last night- and it was awesome. so awesome that jeff wanted to take a picture of it. i think that's the only time my husband has ever taken the initiative to take a picture of something. he's not big on cameras or stopping to pose.

so anyways...hope all of you are keeping dry cause it's still pouring here!

Lazy Days

This last week has just been perfect.
It has been lazy to the max and neither Jeff or I want to go back to Texas and back to waking up at 6 am.
This week has been full of sleeping in, watching movies, and catching up on episodes of Revenge (so good)
This last week has also been full of walks along the canal or down by the river

Matt came along this river walk....
... and decided with Jeff to start a boy band

this week has also been a no make-up or blow drying hair week- no judgements.

But now that our lazy week is almost over, we are packing up and getting ready to leave in the morning. My mom asked us last night if we were excited to get back to Dallas and back to work/school- Jeff and I looked at each other and realized we really didn't want to go back! lol
I've always been the type to be excited to get back to things at the end of a vacation- but not this time! I want to stay in Boise forever. I really just don't want to go back to our apartment and back to never seeing Jeff and back to a place where I still feel like I don't know anyone. It's just that my parents make such great hosts- I blame them for not wanting to leave, haha, they just make coming home so nice :)
oh well, it's time to pretend to be a grown-up once again

McCall- Ponderosa State Park

Ponderosa State Park by Payette Lake is one of the most beautiful parks- and it's even prettier with snow.
One afternoon we decided to check it out- and ended up walking a couple miles through the giant Ponderosas. It was gorgeous! and cold. It started raining though and that didn't help matters. at. all. lol

McCall

For some reason this year is a record low for snowfall in McCall and there was hardly any when we were there. The little snow you see behind us was it- so none of the ski resorts we were going to go to were open :( However- we still managed to have an awesome time and we just chilled in the cabin, played games, watched a lot of football and ate a ton-so it was still a very successful mini vacation

Our back porch was very pretty though with the fresh snow

We definitely ate here more than once while we were in McCall
it's this big old pancake house that gets really festive during the holidays, I love this place. We used to go here when I was little and my family would come up for the ice sculpture festival
